Sharing public IP address with several substations
In Settings - NAT page you can define routing information which allows you to connect to several sub stations through one Fx2020 with public IP address.
First you define public IP address for router Fx2020 as described above. Then you must create local IP address for router Fx2020 using Settings - IP addresses page
Other substations need only IP address that belongs to local subnet. It is defined using control panel.
NOTE! When address translation is used, substations in subnet do not have access to internet. To keep time synchronized you must use router Fx2020 also as time server. See manual page ‘Maintenance - Time setup’
Example: Public IP address of router is 80.220.229.222 and local address is 10.10.10.1 Local subnet has also two other substations 10.10.10.2 and 10.10.10.3
Create three routings with following values:
Source address 80.220.229.222 Port 8001
Destination address 10.10.10.1 Port 80
Source address 80.220.229.222 Port 8002
Destination address 10.10.10.2 Port 80
Source address 80.220.229.222 Port 8003
Destination address 10.10.10.3 Port 80
You can now connect to all substations using following addresses
Fx2020 IP address Address used in browser
10.10.10.1 80.220.229.222:8001
10.10.10.2 80.220.229.222:8002
10.10.10.3 80.220.229.222:8003
