WAN

External network WAN

Typical use for WAN port of built in ethernet switch is connection to outside world.

Examples:

• Client’s internal building network

• 4G / ADSL internet modem

• Tosibox modem

Default address is 10.100.1.198 and it is usually changed to address suitable for each project.

LAN

Typical use for LAN1, LAN2 and LAN3 ports of built in ethernet switch is connection of other devices of building automation system.

Examples: - Visio HMI display unit - MultiLink interface units - Portable service PC

Default address is 192.168.11.1 and usually there is no need to change it.

WIFI - WIRELESS NETWORK

Typical use for built in WiFi access point is to use Fx with mobile device in close range.

Default address is 192.168.12.1 and usually there is no need to change it.

Fx3000 may be an access point for WiFi network which means that is can be operated using eg. mobile phone. It cannot be used as client for another WiFi access point..

Note! WiFi access point functionality is disabled as default and it may not be enabled without permission from client.

WWAN - WIRELESS WIDE AREA NETWORK (MOBILE NETWORK)

Typical use is internet connection over mobile connection, mostly for using the Tosibox connection. Other use is to synchroniza clock or sending emails over it.

4g connection will be automatically monitored to be connected (Healthcheck destination) if any is defined. Healtcheck is done by the system by pingin the URL/IP address every five minutes and if it fails three times, the 4g modem is hard reset by cutting it’s power.

PIN code can be defined for sim in 4g dongle. User should be careful when using a PIN code because it’s possible to close the SIM. PIN code is applied

whenever stick is attached (including healthcheck mentioned above) or when settings are changed. This means that wrong PIN code won’t be lock the SIM card instantly but it will at some point.

WWAN information, like dongle status and signal strength, can be seen in settings -> system info.
